Jordanian King Abdullah II praised the role of the armed forces and security services in protecting the country, stressing that Jordan will remain “rebellious against every unjust aggressor.” He stressed in the Throne Speech during the opening of the third regular session of the twentieth National Assembly on Monday that his country will confront terrorism and will not allow its security and unity to be compromised. King Abdullah stressed that the perpetrators of the Karak attack “have departed from our great Jordanian family,” and that “there is no place for them among us... neither today nor tomorrow.” He added, "The blood of the Karak martyrs is a covenant on our necks," calling on those present to observe a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs.
