Yesterday, Saturday, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with new military strikes targeting “one or two sites” that he said still needed to be dealt with, in statements to reporters at his residence in Florida, according to Agence France-Presse. Trump pointed out that the United States destroyed a large part of Iran's military capabilities and its nuclear program. He stressed that negotiations with Iran to end the war are "going well." Trump considered the “Axe Mountain” site, located about 200 kilometers south of Tehran, to be one of the sites that the United States might target. Arab News describes the site as a suspected nuclear facility known as Ax Mountain. Trump had threatened to target the same site last September, stressing that he would not allow Tehran to possess a nuclear weapon [1]. Secretary of State Marco Rubio had previously confirmed that Trump had not yet made a decision regarding directing new strikes against Iran, indicating that Washington was still open to reaching a diplomatic solution.
