Touch announced in a statement that it has begun implementing a comprehensive and qualitative update to its billing and business support systems, NGBSS (Next Generation Business Support System), as part of its permanent commitment to introducing modern communications technologies and developing the subscriber experience.
The company stated that implementing this update requires a temporary suspension of some services through various channels, starting from the afternoon of Saturday, November 7, until the morning of Sunday, November 8.
Refilling prepaid lines, balance transfers, and paying fixed-line bills through all channels will stop from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. Accordingly, the company calls on its subscribers to complete the recharge and payment processes before the start of the update period, that is, before November 7.
All field sales and services at customer service centers and points of sale will stop from two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday until nine o’clock in the morning on Sunday, with the exception of the company’s point of presence at Rafic Hariri International Airport - Beirut and the Call Center, which will not stop working before eight o’clock in the evening on Saturday.
As for the digital channels, including the website, mobile application, SMS, and automated response, their self-service functions will stop from eight o’clock in the evening on Saturday until eight o’clock in the morning on Sunday.
International calls and external roaming are out of service from 10 pm on Saturday until 7 am on Sunday, so it is recommended that subscribers activate roaming services before Saturday.
This update aims to achieve a qualitative shift in the company’s digital services by giving its subscribers a faster and smoother experience when using the application and website, while allowing immediate follow-up of balance consumption and bill payment with full transparency, facilitating the activation of packages and offers, as well as enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of security and service stability.
Touch apologizes to its subscribers for any inconvenience this temporary suspension of its services may cause.
