MP Ashraf Rifi, according to his post on the “X” platform, considered that the security of citizens and their children has become threatened. In the post, he enumerated what he described as “the nightclub attack” and repeated robberies, robberies, and shootings, pointing out that fear dominates the roads, especially near the capital, Beirut.
He pointed out that the nature of these events, their frequency, and the places in which they occur, invite us to read them beyond being ordinary criminal incidents, and to question their backgrounds and possible goals.
Rifi said: “We draw the state’s attention to the seriousness of this scene, which not only threatens the security of citizens, but also targets the image of the state and the covenant on which the Lebanese have bet and are betting, and through which they aspire to restore security, stability, and confidence in institutions.”
Rifi expressed his hope that the security services would move decisively and effectively and reveal the background of these events, to protect citizens and preserve the state’s prestige and confidence in the covenant.
In conclusion, Rifi stressed that "the security of the people and the reassurance of their children is a national priority that cannot be postponed."
