President Joseph Aoun received Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and discussed with him the current conditions in the country in general and in the south in particular in light of the continued Israeli attacks on a number of southern towns and villages. The research also touched on the measures taken by the army to enhance its deployment in non-occupied villages to reassure citizens and return to work in official administrations. They also discussed the agenda of the Council of Ministers session scheduled for tomorrow at Baabda Palace, and the course of discussion on the 2027 draft budget, which began in the sessions held by the government in the palace. The discussion also touched on the ongoing preparations for President Nawaf Salam to head the Lebanese delegation to the United Nations General Assembly meetings in the third week of this September.
