The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, received the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, where they discussed the security situation in the country and the security developments in the south during recent days, and strengthening the security presence in a way that contributes to maintaining security and stability and reassuring citizens. The research also touched on the needs of the internal security forces and security services, in light of the preparations for the conference scheduled to be held in Paris this month, and ways to enhance the capabilities of the security services and enable them to carry out their tasks. The movement and demands of public sector employees, especially military personnel and retirees, were also discussed, and the efforts made to address them in a way that ensures fairness to them within the available capabilities, in addition to the progress of the measures undertaken by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, especially traffic safety procedures, with the aim of applying the law and adhering to it in order to preserve the safety of citizens.
