The Axios website quoted American officials as saying, “US President Donald Trump is considering expanding strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran, and that the United States of America will send more fuel planes to Israel in anticipation of expanding the operation against Iran.”
The report indicated that the options presented include bombing Iranian infrastructure facilities, such as power plants, and carrying out further strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, pointing out that Trump has not made a final decision yet, but he appears ready to escalate the war to cause sufficient damage to push Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz and accept his demands related to its nuclear program.
The report quoted American and Israeli officials as saying that Trump may order an escalation in the coming days.
