Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatened Hezbollah to receive a “severe blow” if it joined any Iranian attack on Israel, pointing out that any attack on towns in northern Israel would be met with a response in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Katz explained that the Israeli army established a security zone inside Lebanese territory extending over an area of 700 square kilometers. He pointed out that the Israeli army is ready to move towards Nabatieh and Litani to become a permanent part of the security zone in southern Lebanon, stressing that the army will not withdraw from the security zone until Hezbollah is disarmed in all parts of Lebanon.
