Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raji held a lengthy meeting with Arab ambassadors accredited in Moscow, during which he informed them of the latest developments in Lebanon. Raji stressed that the absence of previous visits was not for political reasons, but rather as a result of the successive crises that Lebanon went through. He announced the decision to participate in the Russian-Arab Forum, which will be held in Moscow next December. He stressed that the Lebanese people’s demand to live in a state that has no weapons except those of its legitimate military forces is a demand independent of all regional and international calculations. Raji stressed that the priority of the Lebanese state is to liberate the occupied territories, stop Israeli attacks, restore the decision of war and peace, and limit the weapons of armed organizations. He considered that the importance of these negotiations lies in the fact that they established the fact that the Lebanese state is the master of itself, and no one negotiates in its name, pointing out that the path is difficult and long, but the Lebanese government is determined, with American sponsorship and Arab support, to reach a result that serves the interest of Lebanon alone, and not the interest of any other country, most prominent of which is Iran. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Arab ambassadors thanked Minister Raji, and affirmed their countries' readiness to support Lebanon in its cause and unify the position on the eve of the Russian-Arab Forum.
