Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed regional developments and the necessity of enhancing coordination among the countries of the region during a phone call with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. Araghchi pointed out Iran's constant keenness to safeguard Lebanese national sovereignty and Lebanon's territorial integrity in the face of the attacks by the genocidal Israeli regime. He affirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's full support for the proud Lebanese resistance in confronting the occupation and the attacks of the Zionist regime. For his part, the Parliament Speaker expressed his appreciation to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support for Lebanon, and presented an overview of the current situation in southern Lebanon. He pointed out the crimes of the Zionist regime against Lebanon, reminding the international community and Islamic states of their legal and moral responsibility to stop the occupying regime's violations of the law and to hold the criminals accountable and punish them.
