This morning in Jounieh, a public transport passenger bus caught fire as a result of an electrical short circuit on the western lane of the Jounieh highway, leading to a stifling traffic jam. The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of the Lebanese Civil Defense issued the following statement: Elements of the Civil Defense extinguished a fire that broke out inside a passenger bus while it was moving on the western lane of the Maameltein – Jounieh highway. The elements worked to extinguish the flames, control the fire, and secure public safety in the area.
