The Progressive Socialist Party condemned "depriving As-Suwayda students of their right to reach official exam centers in the governorate's countryside," considering that "these irresponsible practices constitute a dangerous manifestation of the project to sever As-Suwayda from Syria, no matter the cost, even if that comes at the expense of the governorate's youth and their right to education." For its part, the "Progressive" affirmed its rejection of all discourse and practices that push As-Suwayda toward secession or subjugation to Israel, given what they represent as a departure from the history of the Druze, their national and Arab identity, and their creed, which has never been a cover for occupation or partition projects. It pointed out that "the Druze are an authentic part of their homelands, and that the future of As-Suwayda's people can only be achieved through dialogue, reconciliation, and national partnership within a unified Syria."
