The Turkish Foreign Ministry welcomed the US decision to remove Syria from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. It considered that this step removed "one of the biggest obstacles" in the way of reconstruction and economic development in Syria. The Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the international community to unite its efforts towards the goal of a prosperous Syria and to assume its responsibilities to put an end to the aggressive acts that threaten this vision, in a reference to Israeli attacks on Syria.
