The Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc held its periodic meeting in the presence of all its members, and issued the following statement: "Ashura is the day of the cry of truth in the face of falsehood and the triumph of the blood of the oppressed over the tyranny of the oppressor. It is the day of that resolute call 'Far be it from us to accept humiliation' launched by the grandson of the Messenger of God, Imam Hussein (p), in the face of tyrants. It is the day imbued with all the meanings of sacrifice, redemption, and heroism, even if supporters and helpers are few. It is the immortal cry of Zainab throughout history: 'So plot your plot, and ply your effort, for you will never make our matter die nor erase our remembrance.' This day will remain a school from whose lessons free people and the oppressed in every era and with every generation draw inspiration, learning the meaning of rejecting injustice, resisting the arrogant, enduring afflictions, bearing hardships, and loyalty and dedication for the sake of supporting the truth. This is what is embodied today by our proud people, the families of our martyrs, our wounded, our prisoners, and the steadfast mujahideen on the frontiers of our beloved country and the borders of our sacred cause. The tenth of Muharram arrives this year while Lebanon and Palestine groan under a savage, criminal, and aggressive Zionist occupation that practices genocide, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity, targeting human beings and infrastructure with killing and destruction, with American and Western support, before the eyes of an international community that is complicit or irresponsible, and Arab governments and societies that are absent or oblivious to their coming fate on the Zionist target list. In contrast, a very few stand with the will and determination to confront all this darkness, complicity, regression, and cowardice, projecting a bright image imbued with faith, hope, and reliance on God—an image drawn from the Karbala of Imam Hussein (p) and the Ashura of al-Taff, embodying all the meanings of sacrifice, altruism, loyalty, courage, boldness, giving, and generosity. While international silence generally prevailed, Iran—its leadership, presidency, government, diplomacy, parliament, people, and armed forces of the Guards and the army—stood up, and a resounding voice rang out in the rising East, launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran in actual support and backing for our homeland, our rights, and our sovereignty, as it still does. It is a rare stance, unmatched in history, in support of Lebanon and Palestine and their people, just as its condition has always been in supporting and serving the oppressed anywhere in the world. In light of some local and regional developments, the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc discussed the situation and recorded the following: 1. The historic and honorable stance taken by Iran in supporting and backing Lebanon and its people requires that it be the subject of thanks, respect, and appreciation from everyone in Lebanon, for there is nothing more deserving than thanking someone who stakes his security, prosperity, and supreme strategic interests to serve a cause or support a people, as Iran has done in supporting Lebanon and repelling aggression from it, its people, and its state. Therefore, the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, representing what it does, expresses the highest degrees of thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to the Islamic Republic—its leadership, people, presidency, government, diplomacy, and armed forces of the army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This is because the courageous and loyal Iranian stance forced the Zionist aggressor and its American ally to halt their aggression against Lebanon, and forged a new equation in the region and the world through which Iran imposes its respect upon the forces of arrogance and acknowledgment of its position and effectiveness in the region, which will restore balance to the entire regional scene from now on. 2. The Bloc paused at length and deeply before the image of the immense sacrifices of the heroes of the resistance, their families, and their society, who have offered and continue to offer their most precious youth and men—martyrs, wounded, and missing persons—who set a wonderful example in courage, sacrifice, valor, loyalty, patience, and steadfastness in resisting the Zionist aggression and in their coming and going amid displacement and migration, drawing inspiration from Karbala's lessons and morals and embodying its high and noble human dimensions in word and deed over many long months. The Bloc considered that all of them—men, women, and children—deserve from us today to renew our pledge of loyalty to them, to defend their freedom, dignity, and sovereignty in their country, to drive the enemies from their land, to rescue their rights, and to protect their interests. 3. The Bloc calls upon the Lebanese authorities to seize the opportunity of the Iranian support that forced the Zionist enemy to stop its aggression and obliged its American backer to commit to its withdrawal from our land very soon. It also renews its call not to be stubborn in continuing its erroneous approach, which has only led to making gratuitous concessions to the enemy and widening the internal division among the Lebanese. 4. The Bloc renews its rejection of direct negotiations with the enemy and whatever results from them, and warns of the dangers of any commitment that grants the occupying entity gains at the expense of our country's sovereignty, whether through "so-called experimental areas north of the Litani or linking the withdrawal from our land to any conditions." We affirm that the authority must adhere to the necessity of the enemy's complete and immediate withdrawal from our land, the return of the displaced, the release of prisoners, and the cessation of all forms of aggression against our country. Anything other than that is a Lebanese affair with which the enemy has nothing to do, and regarding which there can be no appeasement."
