Interior Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar said today, Tuesday, in a television interview, that he is “taking all measures and procedures to maintain security in areas containing displaced people.” He pointed out that "the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, informed me today of the necessity of strengthening the presence of the Lebanese army on the ground and conducting patrols." Regarding the targeting of Ain Saadeh, Al-Hajjar said: “The Lebanese army does not collude against its people, and we all trust it and the investigations that it announced in its statements,” adding, “I followed up on the details with all the security services, and this issue is under their control. We understand the people’s cry and I ask them not to lose confidence in the security services.”
