The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, made an urgent call to the Director General of Land and Maritime Transport, Dr. Ahmed Tamer, during which he issued strict directives to take all immediate precautionary measures, in light of the threats regarding the evacuation of the marine area extending between Naqoura and Tyre, and out of concern for the safety of fishermen and citizens. Minister Rasamny stressed "the necessity of strict implementation of preventive measures, as direct coordination took place with the naval forces of the Lebanese army to ensure the protection of fishermen and maintain public safety." As a result, the competent authorities began implementing the following procedures: - Preventing fishermen from sailing or leaving the fishermen’s harbour, in the port of Tire, until further notice. - Strict control of maritime movement within the scope of the decision, to avoid any potential risks. The Ministry also reminded that, “Based on previous directives issued by His Excellency the Minister, it had taken proactive measures requiring the evacuation of all boats from the area in question, especially in the Rashidiya region, within the framework of the approved preventive measures.” The Ministry called on "all fishermen to fully comply with the instructions issued by the competent authorities, in order to preserve their safety, until the developments become clear."
