The government commissioner to the military court, Judge Claude Ghanem, brought charges against 13 people belonging to Hezbollah, in the case of transporting the explosives truck that was seized at the Dahr al-Baydar checkpoint. The prosecution included eight people whose names were known, including the two detainees, Ali al-Kurdi and Haitham Amhaz, in addition to five others known by their surnames, without their full names being available. Judge Ghanem charged the defendants with the crimes of assaulting the state’s internal security, committing crimes against the state’s law, violating government decisions, possessing weapons and explosives, and forming illegal associations with the intention of undermining the state’s authority and prestige. The penalties stipulated in the claimed legal articles reach hard labor for ten years. Ghanem referred the file to the first military investigating judge, Judge Ghada Abu Alwan, to follow up on the investigations and issue subpoenas against the defendants.
