The Estimates Department at the Meteorological Department in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expected that the weather tomorrow will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with a slight rise in temperatures on the coast in the morning, after which it will begin to gradually decrease during the day. As the depression approaches, the clouds thicken and the atmosphere becomes ready for scattered, sometimes heavy rains, accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds that sometimes intensify to 75 km/h in the north of the country.
Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin are dominated by volatile autumn weather, with chances of some scattered rain during the day, especially inland.
It is expected that the region will be gradually affected, starting tomorrow morning, Thursday, by a depression currently stationed over Greece, accompanied by relatively cold air masses that lead to a drop in temperatures, and bring with it heavy rains, thunderstorms, and active winds that intensify at times. Its effect continues until Friday morning, then gradually recedes and stabilizes.
Average temperatures for October: Tripoli between 20 and 28 degrees, Beirut 21 and 29 degrees, and Zahle between 13 and 27 degrees. The warning came of heavy rain starting tomorrow afternoon, with some flash floods forming on the roads.
As for Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with fog in the highlands, worsening visibility, and a drop in temperatures inland, without significant change over the mountains and on the coast, and below their seasonal averages. Some scattered rain will fall in the interior areas during the day, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds. As for Friday, the weather will be cloudy with fog in the highlands, and temperatures will drop below their seasonal averages. Scattered rain will fall in the morning, then the weather will stabilize at noon and the rain will subside completely. Saturday will be partly cloudy with high clouds and a rise in temperatures.
The temperature on the coast is from 21 to 27 degrees, above the mountains from 12 to 19 degrees, and in the interior from 15 to 23 degrees. Surface winds are southwesterly active at times, with speeds between 15 and 40 km/h.
