The Ministry of Finance stated in a statement that taxpayers registered for the value-added tax must submit periodic declarations for the third quarter of the year 2026 and pay the tax due therefrom, within the legal deadline that ends on 10/31/2026, and that it extends to Monday, 11/02/2026, as the last day falls on Saturday.
The Ministry called on all taxpayers to submit their periodic declarations, pay the taxes due on them, and ensure that their tax obligations are completed on time, to avoid resulting in legal fines, noting that it “will take the necessary legal measures against taxpayers who do not adhere to the specified legal obligations and deadlines.”
The Ministry confirmed that it is not in the process of issuing any decision to grant exceptional exemptions from fines resulting from non-compliance with the requirements of the permit or payment.
In this context, the Ministry reminded taxpayers that Resolution No. 801/1 dated 09/15/2026 has entered into force, and it stipulates that a deposit of 1.5% of the value of import operations be collected by the Customs Administration, at the expense of taxes due on taxpayers who are not committed to submitting their tax declarations within the legal deadlines.
