The Committee of Full-time Contract Professors at the Lebanese University welcomed the Council of Ministers’ decision issued on 10/22/2026, dividing the full-time program into four batches.
She announced in a statement that, in order to ensure the stability of the academic year and the future of the students, she decided to suspend her strike for one week as a goodwill gesture.
The committee confirmed that it will continue its diligent and daily follow-up to ensure that the names of the first three batches are approved, and that it will continue to carefully monitor the course of the fourth batch file, in compliance with the deadline set by the government to take the final decision regarding it no later than April 1, 2027.
She stressed that this positive position is accompanied by absolute firmness, as the suspension of the strike remains temporary and is governed by the government’s fulfillment of its obligations.
