Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed the need to maintain internal stability, calling for avoiding everything that would increase tension and deepen divisions, stressing that protecting the country is everyone’s responsibility.
Berri pointed out that repealing the Israel Boycott Law issued in 1955 will not pass in the House of Representatives, stressing that matters in Lebanon are not left behind.
Berri criticized those who believe that things are "lawless", saying: "Whoever believes that things are 'lawless' and that the country is 'lawless' is mistaken. The country has not escaped yet," adding: "I am waiting with bated breath for someone to propose a law to abolish the boycott of Israel."
