Member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, MP Ibrahim al-Moussawi, warned that the authority’s continued pressure on Hezbollah supporters “will lead to an explosion that is on the brink,” calling on officials to be wise and rational, and not to submit to what he described as external dictates. Al-Moussawi touched on the arrest of the explosives truck in Dahr al-Baydar, comparing that to what he said was an Israeli truck loaded with mines and explosives in Zawtar al-Sharqiya, and accused the authority of being strict with the people of the interior, in exchange for not condemning the Israeli attacks, as he put it. He also defended the materials seized in the truck, saying that they were used in operations against Israel, and criticized the media coverage of the case, considering that it aimed to condemn the resistance fighters. Al-Moussawi concluded by accusing the authorities of failing to protect citizens, especially in the south and peripheral areas, considering that Hezbollah and the resistance filled the void through sacrifices, steadfastness, and defense of Lebanon.
