Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Rajji affirmed that "the meetings held by Lebanon at the Security Council aim to save the country, stop the war, and enable the state to extend its sovereignty over all its territories, alongside discussing a formula for the post-UNIFIL phase based on an international presence under the umbrella of the United Nations." He pointed out that "the general situation remains difficult and complex." He noted that the international community seeks to help Lebanon, but the Lebanese must in turn help themselves.
