Head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Mohammed Raad, affirmed that Hezbollah has conducted a review of its path since October 8, 2023, pointing to the identification of "areas of correctness and points of flaw or shortcoming" in its performance, while considering at the same time that supporting Gaza was a "historic stance." In an interview with the "Al-Modon" newspaper, Raad said that the party chose to remain silent after the fall of the "Ali al-Taher" position, explaining that the position "withstood four months" despite the siege and bombardment, and that the party is not concerned with revealing the details of the confrontation at this stage, adding that "much of the greatness of the resistance men in Ali al-Taher and the precision of the monitoring of their performance will be revealed later." Raad criticized the performance of the Lebanese authorities, considering that their decisions regarding the party's weapons came amid the continuation of Israeli violations of the November 27, 2024 agreement, and said that the party adheres to this agreement as a basis for ending the aggression, withdrawal, releasing prisoners, and the return of residents to their villages. Regarding the negotiations, he pointed out that in the event of their failure and the authorities backing down from their decisions against the resistance, "we have valued options that we can agree upon," without specifying their nature. Raad affirmed that the relationship between Hezbollah, the Amal Movement, and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri is "in the best possible state," considering that attempts to separate the two parties will not succeed. Regarding the relationship with the President of the Republic, he said that the party wants him "to rule according to the text of the Constitution and the National Reconciliation Accord," and to preserve national unity in his positions and his local and international relations.
