The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement: An army unit in the al-Safri area - Baalbek arrested citizen (A.Q.), one of the wanted individuals for the crime of arms trafficking. During the arrest operation, the unit's personnel were subjected to gunfire and returned fire in kind without any injuries occurring. Following this, another unit carried out raids in the area and arrested Syrian (A.F.) for participating in the transport of weapons to another location, and seized a quantity of weapons and military ammunition, in addition to military gear. The confiscated items were handed over and investigation with the two detainees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
