"Strong Republic" bloc member MP Nazih Matta wrote on his X account: Following Ankara and Doha in past days, Minister of Energy and Water Joe Saddi is heading to New York and Washington next week, seeking any support or exit that pushes the energy sector forward. Saddi's advantage is that he is "a man of good upbringing and authentic character," keen on citizens' rights and preserving the nation's finances. He will never be one of the ministers of depravity, corruption, and mercenaries, and of course he has never been one of the series of ministerial advisors, nor among the electrified ones. Despite the obstacles and the noise of campaigns of slander, misinformation, and defamation he is subjected to, he works silently, seriously, and professionally; he neither tires nor bores nor drowns in petty bickering. His efforts remain prominent in search of solutions that concern the Lebanese and plans that put the sector on the right track, instead of drowning in the swamps of corruption, bribery, and deals.
