Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed that the party "will continue the choice of resistance in confronting Israel," saying: "Even if it takes days and months in Lebanon, we are victorious because we stood steadfast and prevented them from annihilating us and achieving their goals." During a speech delivered at the "Martyr Resistance Member Conference" on the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Imamia Students Organization in Pakistan, he stressed that "resistance, in its various forms, represents the means to confront Israel and recover rights," reiterating that "the Palestinian cause is the central cause." Qassem considered that "Hezbollah achieved an important liberation in 2000 and 2006," continuing: "We fought two major wars in 2024 and 2026, and we are still within the sphere of war and confrontation with the Israeli enemy." He considered that "resistance is the only way to liberate the land and all other paths are a waste of time. We have directly tested the choice of resistance in Lebanon and found that this choice liberates the land and the human being." Regarding the war with Israel, Qassem pointed out that "the party realizes that there is absolute no military parity," saying: "But we also know that we are people of faith, people of religion, people of truth, and people of the land, and that we must resist no matter the cost and no matter the sacrifices." Regarding Iran, Qassem said that "Tehran faced an attempt to overthrow the Islamic Republic and the Islamic regime," considering that "the Iranian leadership, the people, and the Guards were intertwined and united in confronting this challenge." He concluded: "Even if it takes days and months, Iran has won."
