President Joseph Aoun received MP Firas Hamdan at the Baabda Palace, where they discussed the situation in the South. Hamdan pointed out from the Baabda Palace that "President Aoun's visit to the South carried a message of support and reassurance to the southerners and [emphasized] the importance of the state's presence alongside them."
