The head of the Finance and Budget Committee chaired the committee session in the presence of the Ministers of Defense and Environment. The agenda included studying a military financial cooperation agreement between Lebanon and Turkey, and a loan agreement with the World Bank to finance the renewable energy project and enhance the energy system in Lebanon. Following the session, Kanaan said: "We approved 3 laws, the first of which relates to 100 million Turkish liras to support the army, a $250 million loan from the World Bank for renewable energy, and we corrected some salaries of third-category employees at the Lebanese University who have been wronged since 2014." He continued: "The Parliament is not delayed in passing laws; rather, what is delayed are the amendments, remarks, and objections after approval in reform and financial files and others."
