Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Haj Hassan considered that "in the face of the harsh and intense events occurring at a difficult time, we rely first and last on the Lord of the heavens and the earth." He continued: "We are the resistance, the resistance community, its people, and its allies. If we are taking our time and exercising patience, it is because we have our calculations, and no one should think they are capable of weakening us, whoever they may be. Beware of the forbearance of the forbearing if he is angered. We have our calculations and our way, and we are not weak—neither on the resistance level, nor the political, nor the popular level. The other side is betting on America, while our bet is on Almighty God, on our strength, our faith, our patience, our steadfastness, on Imam Hussein in our hearts and the awaited Imam Mahdi before us, peace be upon them, and on the fathers and mothers of the martyrs who offer sacrifices with complete contentment and steadfastness." He announced this while patronizing the opening ceremony of the first professional guidance exhibition for the "Amjad" University Institutes branch in Baalbek, in the presence of MP Yanal Solh, the head of the Vocational and Technical Education Department in Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, Judge Sheikh Dr. Abdu Qataya, the General Director of "Amjad" Institutes Dr. Hassan Ahmed, the director of the "Cnam" University Institute branch in Baalbek Dr. Ali Al-Din, the "Educational Mobilization" official in the Bekaa region Hussein Haj Hassan, the Baalbek sector official Youssef Al-Yakhfoudi, the head of the Union of Baalbek Municipalities Hussein Raad, Baalbek Mayor Ahmed Al-Tufaili, the head of the Union of Eastern Baalbek Municipalities Engineer Ali Shukr, the mayors of Makneh Mamdouh Al-Mokdad and Nabi Chit Hani Al-Moussawi, Deputy Mayor of Dors Farid Al-Tufaili, the head of the Traders Syndicate of the Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel Mohammed Hassan Kanaan, the head of the Syndicate of Fine and Crafts Artists in the Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel Amer Haj Hassan, and political, educational, and social figures. Haj Hassan said: "In the film and video clip that we watched, the brothers named it 'Qabas' (Spark), and it was successful, eloquent, and purposeful. God willing, we will all be part of a part of a light from this spark, and that we shall be loyal to the leaders, cadres, mujahideen martyrs, the families of martyrs, the mothers, wives, sons, fathers, the path, the line, and the approach. A spark that entered the heart, and emerges from the heart as a light, a spark of light." Regarding educational affairs, he considered that "the guidance exhibition is certainly an important, necessary, and purposeful matter, and we hope that it will be beneficial, and that it will be repeated at Amjad Institute and other institutes to perform this role in order to guide our students and align vocational education in the institutes with the needs of the labor market. There is no guidance without a labor market, and there is no labor market without an economy. We are in the shadow of a government and authority that is floundering in everything, because these people do not resemble the state in Lebanon, but rather resemble everything except the state. More than a year and a half has passed for this government so far, and we do not understand what it wants from the economy, nor does it possess an economic vision. In the upcoming accountability session in the Parliament, we will hold the government accountable and question it. Now is an opportunity to tell you: this government, throughout its entire period spent so far, has not come out to tell us what it wants from the Lebanese economy? Will you use the security situation and the war as an excuse? You used your failure over 15 months to implement the November 27, 2024 agreement as an excuse. You failed, and you paved the way for the war on Lebanon by your complicity and the complicity of your Minister of Foreign Affairs when he used to say: 'Israel has the right to kill Hezbollah because it did not hand over its weapons.'" He asked: "Are you not friends of America and friends of France? Where are the petrol and oil and what did the 'Total' company do in blocks No. 4, 8, 9, and 10, O friends of the West? You used to make excuses about previous governments; well, during a year and a half, give us a single achievement on the issue of oil! Tell us where you are now? Lebanon is besieged by America and France on the issue of oil and gas to pressure Lebanon and the Lebanese people; this is the truth." He added: "When we talk about education, someone might say: 'What does this have to do with education?' When I teach people as a 'government' vocational and technical education or in universities, is it not for them to go to work? Does the economy not need to open labor markets for them? This requires funds; which are either aid tied to political conditions, or oil extraction tied to political conditions." He affirmed: "We are with guidance exhibitions, and with vocational and technical education, but we want to open the economy. The economy is closed by an American, French, Western, and Arab decision, to pressure Lebanon to submit to American and Israeli political conditions, and the government agrees with and participates in this pressure." He continued: "The government met in its last session and discussed the file of full-time tenure in the Lebanese University, and practically postponed it for a month. Do you know what the reasons are? They are unconstitutional reasons, do not befit a state, and do not align with the constitution. You talk about a state? Do you want to apply parity ('6 and 6 repeated' even among professors? And if you do not find the required number, do you bring any professor just to fill the numerical vacancy? Is education in Lebanon managed this way? Are these the standards of competence? And does a professor who does not belong to a specific sect remain without tenure for another twenty years? This Lebanese University serves all Lebanese without a sectarian identity, but you force it to submit to sectarianism. You are building a quasi-state. If you are not capable of managing this file, do not claim the ability to protect Lebanon and defend it, for the state in the first place is: justice and equality among citizens. It is the state of institutions, the application of the constitution, and the abolition of political sectarianism from public office. Unfortunately, if a minister wants to appoint wage earners in the fifth category, sectarian parity is demanded!" He said: "Enough procrastination, and enough blows to the foundations of state-building! For in this way you are not capable of building a state. Meaning, with oil, have you built a state? And with the economy, have you built a state? And in education, you have not built a state. Yes, you may be an authority, but you are also a failed authority. We are part of the Axis of Resistance, which is advancing in recent days in Yemen towards Bab el-Mandeb, and proving its ability to influence and deter, and we are in the Axis of Resistance that closes the Strait of Hormuz and raises the price of a barrel of oil to 110 dollars. You have America and its helpers, and we have Iran, Yemen, and Palestine. And our bet is on our faith, our nation, and our just cause. If the whole world gathered for us to abandon this choice, we would not abandon it, no matter how great the difficulties and tribulations." He pointed out that "David Hill conveyed from a senior Lebanese official to the Israeli press and media that he said such and such, and the senior Lebanese official did not reply to this talk. The Israeli army is the one occupying southern Lebanon, not the Iranian army, and the one killing your citizens, O officials, is the Israeli enemy, not the Revolutionary Guard. The American ambassador invited members of a prominent segment of the Lebanese to leave their homeland, and he interferes in every minor and major detail in Lebanon, yet you do not dare to respond to him, O sovereigns." Haj Hassan concluded: "We are a people who are not defeated, and even if we are afflicted with bruises or blows, we do not harbor ill thoughts about God. We are a people who, when it is said to us that you are overtaken, we say, 'No, indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me.' This spark of light extending from God's prophets and messengers from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, to all the Imams up to Imam Al-Hujjah, the Master of the Era and Time, continues until justice and goodness are achieved. And this spark will remain in our hearts and minds, and we will remain steadfast and victorious." After the screening of a documentary film and a televised report titled "Pillar of Light", the master of ceremonies Zein Tlais affirmed that "Baalbek and its esteemed people always deserve the best, and everything that contributes to building the future of their youth and developing their capabilities." The General Director of the "Amjad" University Institutes, Dr. Hassan Ahmed, spoke, considering that "human will, which started from Nabatieh to end in Bekaa, is an act of resistance. And we in Amjad Institutes will continue to work day and night to be part of the act of educational, political, and social resistance until we build this society so that we are part of it and with it, whether in the field of education and vocational and technical education, or for the sake of liberating Jerusalem or protecting Lebanon and its people, for in both cases we are part of this resistance system. We will build our human being according to this will and according to this approach in order to become distinguished like this distinguished exhibition." He thanked the attendees and the patron of the exhibition, as well as the students, professors, and workers for what they have accomplished, "hoping that this gloom will be lifted very soon from this nation, with God's help, and you will see better data. And we, in turn, will provide everything we can offer to our people in Baalbek on the educational level, on the level of scholarships, and on many educational matters that concern you. We will be present with you and we will build our glories, God willing, for a better tomorrow." The exhibition, which constitutes a space to discover the professional opportunities available to students and youth, and to get acquainted with various specializations and educational tracks according to their capabilities and the requirements of the labor market, continues until tomorrow, Sunday, and receives visitors from two in the afternoon until half-past seven in the evening.
