Hezbollah pointed out in a statement that the Israeli enemy continues to escalate its aggression and crimes against Lebanon, through killing, bombardment, destruction, systematic blowing up of houses and villages, erasing their landmarks, and demolishing all foundations of life within them, without deterrence and under flimsy pretexts. Its terrorist aggression yesterday led to the martyrdom of four people and the wounding of dozens, amid complete international silence, blatant American complicity, and the Lebanese authorities' complete absence from assuming their responsibilities. This is accompanied by their shameful insistence on continuing with their wrong choices, capitulatory and submissive approach, and a framework that is trampled upon by the enemy every day—a framework that has brought Lebanon nothing but shame and disgrace, and has only served to enshrine the occupation and perpetuate the enemy's aggression and crimes against the Lebanese. It said in a statement that this condemned and ongoing aggression, carried out with full American partnership, cover, and planning, has no justification other than pressuring and blackmailing the Lebanese authorities to push them into implementing agendas whose objectives have become known, even if the price is plunging Lebanon into the swamp of internal strife. It affirmed that the authorities' continued pursuit of this futile, illegal, and unconstitutional path gives the enemy cover to continue its aggression, and grants it more time to achieve its goals and impose its conditions and dictates on Lebanon. It considered that the authorities' claims that their sterile direct negotiations and the ill-fated framework agreement with the enemy are achieving accomplishments are refuted and dispelled by the ongoing occupation, aggression, the shedding of Lebanese blood, destruction, and bombings. It pointed out that the release of some Lebanese prisoners cannot serve as a cover to overlook the continuation of aggression, occupation, and killing, nor as a justification for continuing on a path that has proven its failure and inability to protect Lebanon and its people, especially since the authorities had previously affirmed repeatedly that they would not enter into any negotiating path before the enemy stops its aggression. It stressed that the authorities are called upon to recalculate, stop the arrogance, put stubbornness and bickering aside for the sake of Lebanon and its people's interest, and return to the unifying national constants that protect Lebanon's sovereignty. We call upon all Lebanese to stand united behind a unified national stance that preserves Lebanon's strength, resilience, and sovereignty in the face of Israeli aggression.
