Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Gebran Bassil wrote on his "X" account: "Now that the President of the Republic has signed the general amnesty law... we will challenge it, to protect justice, out of respect for the martyrs, in defiance of a crime... and so that there remains in this homeland someone who dares to say 'no' to preserve dignity, retain a remnant of pride, and salute an army."
