Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem launched a sharp attack this Friday evening on the Lebanese authorities and the course of negotiations, considering that the region is going through a phase of "historical restructuring" of the balance of power, in light of events he described as "extraordinary." He posed a question to those who say that "negotiations are better than war": Have your negotiations stopped the war? Qassem stated that the United States is "paving the way to increase control and prepare the necessary prerequisites for the establishment of Greater Israel," positioning in contrast what he described as the "Islamic Republic current" and the resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen in confrontation with this project. He added that the "enemies" used, according to his expression, various means in the confrontations witnessed by the region, affirming that Hezbollah has made great sacrifices, but has not lost, and said: "The loss is when we surrender. Attack on the Lebanese authorities In internal affairs, Qassem escalated his tone toward the Lebanese authorities, saying that they "have chosen a path that does not honor them or Lebanon." He criticized the results of the path adopted by the state, saying: "You did not bring about a ceasefire, nor did you bring about a withdrawal, but rather you relinquished the right to prosecute." He considered that those who participated in the resistance "are innocent of these concessions and these results," adding that the responsibility for these results is borne by the parties that chose this path, accusing them of "giving away from the bag of sovereignty." Qassem also directed direct criticism at the ongoing negotiations, considering that they "are taking place under fire, give legitimacy to the war, and side with Israel."
