The Electricité du Liban (EDL) has begun implementing decisive measures to cut off electricity supply to all public administrations, institutions, and municipalities that have failed to settle their accumulated financial dues.
This step follows the expiration of the final deadline granted by the EDL to the concerned parties to regularize their financial status and avoid service interruption, amid the escalating crises facing the institution, particularly weak revenue collection and rising production costs.
The Electricité du Liban published a list of the public administrations and institutions subject to the power cut decision.
