News Leb has learned that the General Directorate of General Security has agreed to renew the residency permit of former Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Reza Shibani for six months, in his capacity as a former diplomat since 2006. Shibani had submitted an application for residency to the General Directorate of General Security today. The information revealed that the General Security’s decision was based on Lebanese legislative decrees and the exclusive authority of the Director General of General Security.
