Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, stated: For a continuous year and five months, we fully committed to the ceasefire against the enemy, implementing an agreement concluded by the state in our country with the Zionist enemy, following indirect negotiations between the two parties held under the auspices of a US presidential envoy in 2024. However, the invading Zionists did not abide by that agreement for even a single day, and many colluded with them, seizing the opportunity of our commitment to kill, betray, blow up, bulldoze, advance into some of our villages, destroy their houses and shops, devastate their crops and the landmarks of life within them, and do in sixty days what they were unable to do during our confrontation with them and our resistance to their aggression. The government in Lebanon possessed neither the capability nor the leverage to confront the enemy's violations, nor to employ what it claims as international friendships to pressure the Israelis into stopping their violations and their usurpation of Lebanon's airspace, land, and sea. The government in Lebanon could only justify its glaring failure to repel Israeli attacks by hiding behind its approval and response to the old Israeli demand and dream of disarming the resistance, using the pretext before everyone that implementing this measure would push the enemy to accept stopping its attacks. Despite this, and with our strong and permanent rejection of the government's sinful decision issued on August 5, 2025, regarding the exclusivity of arms and pushing our Lebanese Army to implement it, we dealt with flexibility in the area south of the Litani River, because we committed in the November 27, 2024 agreement to evacuate all of that area of weapons only, and we repeatedly affirmed our rejection of the government's decision and warned of its danger. But there was no one to hear, and it became clear that the government's response to closing the enemy's pretext on the issue of disarming the resistance tempted the Zionist enemy and encouraged it to raise other pretexts, which led the government of Lebanon to agree to the appointment of a civilian diplomat in the mechanism as head of the Lebanese military delegation, followed by successive responses to open a direct political dialogue between the Israeli and the Lebanese diplomat, who conveyed to the Lebanese presidency that the demands raised by the Israeli are difficult demands. Throughout all that period, the Zionist enemy did not stop its violations of Lebanese sovereignty by air, land, and sea, nor did it cease targeting the youth of the occupied towns and villages inside their villages and on the roads, and it established more than seven deployment points for its occupying forces inside our Lebanese land at the front line adjacent to occupied Palestine, and it continued to blackmail Lebanon and threaten its security and stability, sending its drones over all Lebanese territories, over all Lebanese authorities, and over the Lebanese capital, Beirut, to humiliate the authority and the Lebanese together. We warned during the past fifteen months that our patience with the enemy's attacks has limits, and that it is neither without horizon nor end, and no one lifted a finger to halt the persistent Zionist aggression. It became clear that the enemy, through continuing its hostile acts and our lack of response to it, was merely preparing the atmosphere to pounce on the resistance, at a time when it is coordinating its aggressive program in the region around us with the US administration that sponsors Zionist terrorism. Shortly before the beginning of March, the enemy decided to call up additional reserves of the Zionist hostile forces reaching up to 100,000 soldiers, and the objectives of this call-up could not be understood as anything other than preparing for an attack on Lebanon after completing readiness. The surprise raids by the Zionists and Americans on the night of the first of March on Tehran, despite the fact that rounds of negotiations with the Iranians were still ongoing, revealed that the goal was to assassinate the leader Imam Khamenei, may his secret be sanctified, in Iran, and to overthrow the Islamic Republic regime there according to hostile illusions, and then turn to Lebanon to launch an attack in which the Israelis invade the south again, with the aim of eliminating the resistance, imposing surrender on the government of Lebanon, and forcing it to conclude an agreement of subjugation with the approval of its American partners. What the resistance did by launching a barrage of rockets against the Zionist enemy after it committed the crime of assassinating a Shiite religious authority and a great leader—which all the free and honorable people of the world condemn—was merely a signal that the patience of the Lebanese resistance fighters, alongside their people, with the arrogance and persistence of the Zionist occupiers had run out, and a warning of what they are preparing in terms of a comprehensive aggression against Lebanon, which we will not hesitate as resistance fighters to confront and counter with all available means and capabilities, and we will fight it with our teeth and nails until we expel it from our land with our determination, steadfastness, and will, in compliance with the stance of the Imam of the Nation and the Resistance, His Eminence Imam Moussa al-Sadr, may God return him, and in commitment to our legal and national duty. Accordingly, the resistance—contrary to what some have rumored and incited—did not rush the Zionist aggression against Lebanon, but rather preceded it in warning of its dangers and stripped it of the element of surprise. It is certain that there is no deterrent to aggression except the resistance and steadfastness, whether it happens in a week or happened a few days ago; the enemy is already continuing the aggression, and the resistance in return is determined to defend itself, its families, its people, and the sovereignty of its country. The attacked party has a legitimate right to resistance even if it does not possess capability, and it has a duty to defend with the capabilities available to it, and everyone else thereafter has a duty to support it and enhance its capabilities to recover its right and protect its existence. Had the availability of sufficient capability been a pre-condition for resistance, no resistance would have existed anywhere, nor would history have ever mentioned it. Our loyal people, Lebanon today is not given a choice between war and peace as some repeat and claim, but rather it is given a choice between war and surrender to the humiliating conditions that the enemy wants to impose on the government—which knows this and seeks it—and on the entire country and its people. We in the resistance know that you are the people of honor and faith, and the people of patriotism, pride, and dignity, and you refuse humiliation, disgrace, and surrender. We have no choice before us all except to rely on God and defend our existence whatever the costs. We are keen to the utmost limits on the atmosphere of national unity and preserving civil peace. But before us is a vicious, backed enemy that attacks and assaults us and our country, and we and you, our faithful people, are honorable; we have God alone, we submit to no one else and surrender to none of His enemies, and together we will stand firm on our choice and our right, defending every grain of soil of our homeland in the South, the Dahiyeh, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon, in the Western and Central Bekaa, Baalbek and Hermel, and in all regions of the honorable Lebanese all the way to the North and Akkar. Our goal is clear and specific: to expel the enemy from our occupied land, stop its attacks and violations by air, sea, and land, liberate the prisoners and restore them to their families, stop the targeting of our people and their security, prevent the disruption of the return of the people to their villages, and rebuild their towns and houses. To be completely clear, we have no other choice to safeguard honor, pride, and dignity except the choice of resistance, and it is our destiny to bear, for the sake of championing this noble, honorable, and proud stance and choice, all patience regarding losses and sacrifices, the destruction of homes and villages, displacement, hunger, sleeping without shelter, and also to bear the malice and pain from our enemy, while at the same time being patient with those who wrong us from among those we consider partners in our homeland, hoping they will realize it even if after a while. "And God will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, God is Powerful and Exalted in Might," and "If God should help you, none can defeat you." It is enough for you, our honorable people, in this proud Husseini stance, that you fulfilled your covenant with God, so you neither faltered nor failed the truth and its people, nor were you humiliated or surrendered, and you struggled a true struggle to defend yourselves and your country with the most precious things you possess, and you did not accept humiliation and submissiveness before your enemy. And because you are truthful in your covenant with God, God will grant you victory: "And victory is not except from God, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." And upon God let the reliant rely.
