The United States announced that new talks between Israel and Lebanon will be held in Rome from August 4 to 6, within the framework of establishing “pilot zones” in cooperation with the Lebanese army.
A Foreign Ministry official said that "the technical delegations will focus in Rome on advancing the full implementation of the framework agreement," pointing in this regard to expanding the scope of the "pilot zones" process, settling all outstanding border issues, and formulating a comprehensive peace and security agreement.
