The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc considered that the presidential visit to Washington failed to achieve the bare minimum of national sovereign demands. In a statement issued following its periodic meeting chaired by MP Mohammad Raad, it said: "As part of its ongoing series of concessions, the authority is persisting in deepening the crisis of Lebanon and the Lebanese people and entangling them in a futile path marked by successive concessions that undermine the state's sovereignty and the dignity of the nation and the people, revealing the extent of subservience and submission to foreign tutelage. This was clearly demonstrated by the presidential visit to Washington, which failed to achieve the bare minimum of national sovereign demands, as it did not yield a US commitment to the enemy's withdrawal from our land, nor did it stop the crimes of killing, shelling, and bulldozing that this enemy continues to commit against our people, nor did it provide the possibility for the safe return of the displaced or the initiation of reconstruction workshops." The bloc affirmed that "the showy steps recently undertaken by the authority do not fool the eyes of the Lebanese people; they are an overt attempt to invest in illusion," saying: "Our national army was among its people and reinforced its deployment in areas the enemy was unable to occupy thanks to the sacrifices of the resistance fighters. The occupation army has not withdrawn from any occupied area; rather, it proceeded to open fire on Lebanese Army units in the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh under the pretext that they had advanced one hundred meters toward occupied areas. This in itself constitutes a new scandal for the authority, which rushed to falsify the facts before the eyes of the angry residents and present what happened as if it were the beginning of an enemy withdrawal from the areas it occupied." While renewing its rejection of "direct negotiations and the framework agreement that resulted from them," the bloc stressed "the priority of the full withdrawal of the occupation army from our occupied land, and the implementation of the November 27, 2024 agreement and Resolution 1701 exclusively south of the Litani," pointing out that "any approach to the resistance's weapons outside this area will be after the enemy's withdrawal, based on national consensuses, in the context of a national security strategy as stated in the inaugural speech and the ministerial policy statement." The bloc considered that "the enemy's continuation of its policy of systematic destruction of occupied villages is part of its criminal, expansionist project, and aims to make this area uninhabitable, which requires raising our voices high to confront this crime against humanity." It said: "The authority's silence in this regard is suspicious; it has not made any effort nor taken any stance to put an end to this crime, and in all its political activities at home and abroad, it has not bothered to place this file as one of its demands, continuing its futile negotiations with the enemy without even securing a halt to such aggressive practices." It added: "Facing the escalating crises on the living conditions front, particularly the near-constant power outage and the suffering and heavy losses it causes to citizens, the bloc records the government's failure to fulfill the commitments it made in its ministerial statement. Furthermore, the floundering of the concerned ministry in addressing this vital dossier for the country demonstrates its inability to find the required solutions and to deliver on its promises, a year and a half into the life of this government. Instead of engaging in political bickering, the Ministry of Energy is called upon to assume full responsibility for the decay and decline afflicting this sector by taking full charge of its responsibilities." On the other hand, the bloc condemned "the renewed US attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran," considering them "an affirmation of the arrogant policy practiced by the US administration in an attempt to compensate for the crushing failure it suffered after the recent war and the collapse of the aggression's objectives due to the heroic steadfastness of Iran's leadership and people." The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said: "We are fully confident that Iran will emerge victorious in confronting the aggression and will compel the US administration to abide by the terms of the memorandum of understanding in a manner that benefits our region, something Lebanon will benefit from as a result of Iran's insistence on placing it as the primary item topping the rest of its provisions."
