The Political Bureau of the Amal Movement affirmed that the Israeli aggression targeting Lebanon in general, and the Bekaa, the southern suburb of the capital Beirut, and the South in particular, which is ongoing in various forms through killing, the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of people from the southern villages, and the continuous systematic destruction under the guise of a ceasefire of dozens of villages rendering them uninhabitable for human life, anyone in Lebanon—regardless of their position in authority, opposition, or loyalty—mistakenly believes that this aggression targets a specific sect, region, or partisan or political party. Rather, it is an aggression against Lebanon and all its sects, and against its civilizational, spiritual, cultural, heritage, and human model. In a statement on the occasion of "Amal Movement Martyr's Day", it considered that "it is an aggression that rises to the level of a war of extermination, which requires the concerted effort of all national, regional, and international energies and efforts to end it immediately in a manner that preserves Lebanon's unity and sovereignty, returns its citizens to their homes from which they were unjustly driven, and imposes an unconditional withdrawal of the occupation forces beyond the internationally recognized borders and the deployment of the Lebanese Army in the areas from which they withdraw in implementation of the ceasefire agreement concluded in November 2024, far from any attempt to capitalize on the field realities of this aggression for cheap domestic political purposes or for known Israeli aggressive ambitions that are clear to friend and foe alike—goals that we absolutely reject and will resist by all available legal and constitutional methods." The Amal Movement renewed its categorical rejection of everything contained in the so-called framework agreement, whether through the so-called experimental zones or through the overt Israeli attempt aimed, in the public clauses and the secret annex, at turning the army into a judicial police force serving the occupation's agendas and seditious projects. It affirmed that the Lebanese Army—commander, officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel—is the bet, and that this inclusive national institution, with its steadfast creed, is above suspicion and is a red line that cannot be accepted to be crossed under any title and under any circumstances. The movement also affirmed that the crimes committed by the Israeli war machine against childhood, humanity, heritage, culture, economy, agricultural fields, journalists, ambulance crews, health and educational centers, religious and spiritual places and symbols—in which Israel used various types of lethal weapons, including internationally prohibited ones, in violation of all rules of international humanitarian law—are fully-fledged war crimes. Under no formula, neither in a framework agreement nor in any treaty, is it permissible to drop them by prescription or the passage of time; the criminal record and the prosecution of criminals are not suspended temporally in articles nor whitewashed in agreements. The Amal Movement renewed its call to the Lebanese, all the Lebanese, to "reject the rhetoric of hatred and incitement and to prioritize what unites them, which is Lebanon, as it was and must remain within its internationally recognized borders and without «experimental zones», a definitive homeland for all its citizens."
