Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah affirmed, during the memorial ceremony held by Hezbollah for the blessed martyr Ali Mohammad Kamal Saad at the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) complex in al-Janah, that if an Iranian-American agreement is reached, it will have direct repercussions on Lebanon, whether the authorities accept it or not, as the Americans will not wait for them because their minds and interests are elsewhere. They are exploiting and using some of those in power in Lebanon, but if the agreement happens, we have complete confidence in the Islamic Republic of Iran—which we saw making a heroic stand against the Israeli aggression—that it insists on including the Lebanese file in any agreement, without this meaning that it wants to replace the state, but rather it invites the state to benefit from this agreement, and then the state completes its work in following up on the rest of the matters related to the country. He emphasized that our priority lies in confronting the Israeli aggression, yet this does not mean closing the political doors to solutions that come through indirect negotiations supported by the path taking shape in the "Islamabad" negotiations. This is a support element for Lebanon and a factor of strength for our country, but unfortunately, those in power not only do not want to benefit from it, but are trying to obstruct any benefit from this path, which will proceed with them or without them. We tell them to benefit from this path, or in other words, "catch up with yourselves." MP Fadlallah said: We currently have no choices in confronting the existential aggressive war targeting Lebanon, especially the South, except to continue confronting, resisting, and steadfastly standing firm no matter the pain, sacrifices, and costs, because the other political options presented to our country are complete surrender and submission to this enemy. The price we pay through surrender is much greater than what we might pay through resistance, through which we liberate our land and return to our villages and towns with dignity, whereas with surrender, the South is lost, this occupation remains on our land, and our security is handed over to it. Whoever among these authorities wants to surrender let him go alone, and he will not be able to drag the country with him, and such surrender is out of the question in our dictionary. He added: We do not trust a political administration that makes concession after concession at the expense of the country and its interest, knowing that no political option has been presented to us that is debatable and implementable. Therefore, our choice today is to stand firm, resist, and sacrifice. We have made many sacrifices, and the blood of our martyrs is a trust on our necks, and we will not accept that these sacrifices be touched or lost, because we cling to our right to live in our country with dignity and pride, and so that the enemy no longer remains able to target our youth and our towns. All ceasefire proposals have not brought us a real solution, but rather were conditioned on things much worse than war, including evacuating Hezbollah from south of the Litani, in addition to giving the enemy the right to strike Beirut if the occupied north is shelled. We have told those among these authorities who approached us: How can you accept such a formula or agree to evacuate your country's people from their villages? Therefore, this proposal is rejected and we cannot go along with it. MP Fadlallah affirmed that we are not against diplomacy based on strength and the right to indirect negotiations, whereas direct negotiations are rejected, aside from the fact that they violate the law, the constitution, and the National Accord Document. They are a downward political path, and the proof is that they said "we will not negotiate while the shelling continues," yet they went to negotiations without a ceasefire, and they said "they will demand an unconditional ceasefire," while conditions were imposed on them and they agreed to them. MP Fadlallah added that the authorities are negotiating over what they cannot implement, because the results they reach cannot be implemented unless the resistance agrees to them. The resistance duo rejects these formulas that bring many concessions to this enemy, and do not carry any realistic and true solution with them. MP Fadlallah stressed that the primary battle today is confronting this enemy. We do not want or wish to be dragged into any side battles, and whoever has Israel as his enemy, that is enough for him, and he does not look for rivalries or internal conflicts. At the same time, no one should be allowed to take the country into this kind of conflict. MP Fadlallah pointed out that we hear from time to time provocative, emotional, and irresponsible stances from those in power, including the claim that the blood of our people's martyrs and the sacrifices of these people are outside the law, and that the Israeli aggression, occupation, and massacres against the people of the South are nothing but a war between Iran and Israel on Lebanese soil. This is because the owners of these claims do not recognize the existence of an aggression against their country, and do not read from the book of Israeli ambitions. The South is not part of their concerns, and they are against the idea of resistance and sacrifice for the sake of the nation and dignity. No one benefits from all these claims except the enemy, and these people do not act as if they are in an authority responsible for the entire country, but rather act with a factional logic, and some with a sectarian, denominational, and regional logic, seeing the aggression only through details related to this region or that. They are in a position of authority, but they are not in a position of national responsibility. MP Fadlallah said: How badly we need statesmen in Lebanon who apply the constitution, the pact, and the laws, and work to care for all people. Unfortunately, we do not find this level of assuming national responsibility, and consequently, every stance that serves the enemy is against the constitution, the law, the pact, and the country. Every stance that insults our sacrifices is a rejected, condemned, and denounced stance from whatever position it came, and every provocative stance will not benefit its owners. Even if we are busy today confronting the enemy, this does not mean we will allow the likes of these people to touch the dignity and rights of our people.
