Hezbollah Political Council member and former minister Mahmoud Qamati stressed that the Zionist entity covets our land, sky, and water, and openly declares this through the borders of Greater Israel, which includes Lebanon, Syria, and the rest of the region it has announced, backed in this by "Trump" and "Barak" from the American side, in addition to some Arabs and unfortunately some Lebanese. Qamati’s remarks came during a ceremony honoring a group of Islamic Resistance martyrs from the third sector who were martyred defending Lebanon and its people in the "Al-Asf al-Ma'kul" battle, held at the Berjawi Husseiniya in Bir al-Hassan, in the presence of a number of parliamentary, political, clerical, cultural, social, municipal, and mukhtar figures, the martyrs' families, and a crowd of citizens. Qamati explained that the existing problem today is embodied in two concepts and visions: the first is our vision, which lies in the fact that this entity will not be satiated and will not stop killing, occupation, and expansion, which begins in southern Lebanon and then moves to the rest of Lebanon. As for the second vision, it says that there can be peace and understanding with this entity and that we can conclude treaties and agreements with it, which has happened before, the latest being the recent ceasefire agreement, which once again showed that Israel does not abide by promises, pledges, or agreements, and its strategic project—which we are working to confront—is the occupation and swallowing of all Lebanon, as well as other Arab regions. Qamati added: There are the ignorant who do not know what the Israeli project is, and there are also accomplices to this project who never considered Lebanon a homeland for all, but rather a homeland for them alone, and that all other Lebanese are servants to them to serve their projects, arrogance, and haughtiness. Therefore, when the equations turned, they began working to mislead public opinion so that they could return to their haughtiness once again. Qamati pointed out that the President of the Lebanese Republic wants to conduct direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy in light of Lebanese division, and therefore we ask him: By what right do you bypass a fundamental pillar of the state, namely Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri; by what right do you single-handedly make a decision concerning the fate of Lebanon, violating national unity, the constitution, laws, pride, dignity, honor, the blood of the martyrs, and their sacrifices? Do you want to provide services to America and Israel at the expense of Lebanese national unity? Qamati said: We advise the President of the Republic to conduct negotiations with the enemy indirectly, as happened in the past without recognizing it, so that your head remains held high, because in this case, you go to negotiations possessing a national consensus, and not on the basis of the Israeli and American agenda that demands the disarmament of the resistance. Qamati considered that neither direct nor indirect negotiations with the enemy will lead Lebanon to a result, particularly in achieving the five declared national goals, because the Israeli enemy clings to its strategic project, will not leave Lebanon, will maneuver, and will not accept withdrawal except under the action and effect of the resistance's rifle. Qamati asked: Why did some in Lebanon abandon neutrality and quickly rush to side with America and Israel against the Islamic Republic in Iran? Where is your neutrality, and where is Lebanon's interest in having these people—from a very small position—stand against the giant that has begun redrawing the region? And where is the intelligence, astuteness, politics, and interest of Lebanon in having these people initiate steps against the Islamic Republic of Iran, whether regarding its ambassador in Lebanon or regarding the Minister of Justice, who wants to file a lawsuit against Iran for violating Lebanese sovereignty? Is there any Lebanese sovereignty left as a result of your performance and decisions? Qamati affirmed that we adhere to our line, vision, and approach. Lebanon's security comes before any other security, and consequently, there is no security for Israel or the settlements in northern occupied Palestine as long as Lebanon's security is unavailable, unsecured, incomplete, and non-comprehensive. There is no return to the pre-March 2 period nor to strategic patience. Accordingly, every Israeli violation today will be met with a response from the resistance, because Lebanon, its south, and its people are a trust entrusted to the resistance, which will continue until complete liberation and the realization of the five national points announced by His Eminence the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem.
