MP Ashraf Rifi announced that he would boycott the general amnesty sessions if the grievances against Sheikh Ahmed Al-Assir and his oppressed comrades and others like them were not lifted. He said: “Is it reasonable for us to participate in sessions that release drug traffickers and not our oppressed men and religious symbols? He concluded: “It is the pinnacle of failure and the pinnacle of abandonment.”
