Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Ezzeddine stressed that we do not need direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy, but rather indirect and technical negotiations as it was in the "Mechanism" committee, especially since until now, no one in the world—neither the state, nor the authority, nor the American, nor the French—has been able to stop the war in Lebanon, and this is one of the simplest matters. Therefore, we ask: what is being negotiated? Are we negotiating with the enemy over our land that it occupies and which we must liberate with the blood of our children, or are we negotiating over our water, our resources, and our sovereignty? MP Ezzeddine’s remarks came during a memorial ceremony held by Hezbollah for a group of Islamic Resistance martyrs in the Third Sector who ascended in defense of Lebanon and its people in the "Eaten Storm" battle, at the Barjawi Husseiniya in Bir al-Hasan, in the presence of a number of parliamentary, political, clerical, municipal, cultural, and social figures, the families of the martyrs, and a crowd of citizens. MP Ezzeddine stressed that direct negotiations with the enemy are rejected and condemned, constitute a deviation from national constants, a violation of sovereignty and independence, contradict the Taif Agreement and national accord, and run counter to the reality of achieving supreme national interests. With the absence of the cards of strength that Lebanon must possess in any negotiation process, insisting on proceeding with this option becomes arrogance and submission to the dictates and conditions of this enemy, whether intentionally or unintentionally. According to the balance of power in negotiations, negotiations become and represent free political suicide without Lebanon achieving any benefit from this dialogue. MP Ezzeddine considered that the solution to the current crisis in Lebanon lies in this authority returning and backing down from direct negotiations with the enemy and abandoning these miserable options that lead to no result, in addition to ceasing incitement, moving away from domestic hate speech and treason charges, and antagonizing the majority of this people according to statistics existing for several months, such that 60 percent of the Lebanese people from various sects support the resistance, its choice, its behavior, and its approach. MP Ezzeddine called on the authority in Lebanon to return to its people and the components supporting the choice of the resistance, because it is an acceptable choice for the majority of the Lebanese, and at that point we can preserve Lebanon's sovereignty and strengthen national accord internally, enabling us to resist, confront, and liberate as we did in the year 2000. MP Ezzeddine explained that Israel is the enemy of Lebanon, not just the Shia, the people of the South, the Bekaa, and the Dahiyeh in Lebanon. It constitutes a strategic and existential threat to the whole of Lebanon. Therefore, in the moment of confrontation with the external enemy, we must look inward and move away from rhetoric that leads to pitting people against one another and creating hatred and incitement among them, and reject everything that could divide us as Lebanese among ourselves, because it first contradicts descending to the behaviors of others, and contradicts what we believe in, the values we believe in, and the ethics we live by in our conduct. MP Ezzeddine stressed that the value and importance of Lebanon lie in the fact that it is a diverse country in religion, heavenly messages, and belonging to this homeland. In its political and religious diversity, it constitutes the antithesis of this Israeli enemy, because it is a fanatical enemy that does not recognize the other. Therefore, we are extremely keen on civil peace, stability, and keeping the internal arena an arena of mutual understanding among us, and moving away from incitement and offending any religious and political positions, sanctities, and symbols. This country is bound to national understanding, and no matter how great the power and capabilities of any forces may be, they cannot cancel anyone from the existing equation. MP Ezzeddine affirmed that the South has managed to revive the resistance that they said was defeated and finished, and that it could not return once again to the battlefront. The Israelis themselves confirmed that their operations, which they named "Lion's Roar," hit a dead end in the South, in their expression, and did not achieve any of the goals raised at the beginning of the war. They also confirmed that the Israeli army has never been in such a state of confusion, especially regarding the issue of confronting the resistance's drone swarms, which this army and military factories have failed up to this moment to find a solution to or to disable their effectiveness in the field. MP Ezzeddine said that the Israeli enemy thought it could establish control over the southern areas it entered and in which it carried out destruction, criminality, and killing, untethered from all international, humanitarian, and moral rules and norms governing wars. However, the resistance fighters had the final say, delivering a message to it through their heroic operations that no matter what you do and try to remain in this land, you will not be able to settle on a single grain of sand of it despite the difficulty of the confrontations. It is true that the enemy outclasses us with its weapons, planes, and tanks, but we outclass it with our faith, certainty, will, and the souls we sacrifice to achieve the goals that God has commanded us to achieve. MP Ezzeddine concluded by affirming that the resistance will shake the earth beneath the feet of the Zionist enemy, and will achieve victory in these confrontations, God Almighty willing, and will expel the enemy from our land and thwart its goals, exactly as it achieved victory in the year 2000 and the year 2006.
