Reuters reported, citing Hezbollah officials, that the party sees an opportunity to turn the tide of the current stage through an alliance with Iran.
According to officials, the party’s participation in the war would put Lebanon on the agenda of the US-Iranian negotiations.
Officials pointed out that official Lebanese data on death tolls does not include a large number of party fighters.
The sources added that several thousand Hezbollah members were killed, but there is still no final count, given that the bodies of many of them have not been recovered, especially in areas such as Khiam and Bint Jbeil.
