Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote on the “X” platform: “No matter how deep the political disagreement is, and while I adhere to freedom of opinion, I have always warned against slipping into any forms of expression that include personal abuse, defamation, bullying, and treason, which are all condemned, and which contribute to inflaming souls and inflaming fanaticism. I appeal to my fellow citizens and sisters to have the highest levels of awareness and to reject hate speech in order to prevent the country from being dragged into an atmosphere of discord with undesirable consequences.”
