The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received at Baabda Palace this afternoon the US Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, after his return from Washington. Aoun discussed with him the current developments, especially the issue of consolidating the ceasefire and stopping the targeting of civilians and civilian facilities, in preparation for completing the meetings in Washington, which will lead to achieving peace and stability on the borders and announcing this in Washington. Ambassador Issa affirmed the United States’ continued support for Lebanon and its institutions. For his part, President Aoun thanked the American ambassador for the continued American support to achieve stability in Lebanon.
