The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, condemned the Israeli attack that led to the martyrdom of three Civil Defense men while they were carrying out today a rescue and ambulance mission for those injured as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted a building in the town of Majdal Zoun, which also led to the martyrdom of two civilians. President Aoun considered that this attack is added to a series of attacks targeting relief and ambulance workers, which indicates that Israel continues to violate international laws and conventions that protect civilians, paramedics, civil defense members, the Red Cross, and workers in the rescue, ambulance, and medical fields. President Aoun offered his condolences to the families of the three martyrs, the Director General of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Imad Khuraish, and the companions of the martyrs, noting the great sacrifices made by Civil Defense and the humanitarian, first aid, and medical bodies in Lebanon during this difficult period in its history.
