Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar called on the Lebanese government to cooperate with Israel “against the state that Hezbollah established on its lands,” as he put it. He considered Hezbollah to be the obstacle to peace and normalization between Israel and Lebanon. He said that there are a number of minor disputes regarding the route of the border with Lebanon, pointing out the possibility of resolving them. He explained that there are no fundamental differences with Lebanon, and “tomorrow the negotiations will resume.”
