Kuwait: Condemnation of the attack on UNIFIL and a call to hold those responsible accountable

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack that targeted the French battalion of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon, which led to the death of one person and the injury of a number of soldiers.
The Foreign Ministry affirmed its "complete rejection of targeting peacekeeping forces, as it constitutes a violation of international law and Security Council Resolution No. 1701."
In a statement, it stressed “the need to hold those responsible for this attack accountable,” renewing its “full support for UNIFIL’s efforts to maintain security and stability in southern Lebanon.” She expressed her "sincere condolences to the friendly French Republic, and her wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured."
