A senior Israeli military official warned against directing “extremely harsh strikes” against Iran that could inflict heavy losses on it, if the negotiations fail and the ceasefire collapses. The official told the Maariv newspaper that the Israeli and American armies are “in close coordination,” noting that they are “prepared for this possibility.” He added: “If the need arises to resume fighting, we know what to do. “We are coordinated, and the strike that will be directed will be very harsh and will inflict heavy losses on the Iranians.” The official confirmed that the “target list” had been updated, explaining that this time it would include Iranian energy facilities. He considered that “Iran is entering the negotiations in a state of extreme exhaustion and with much lower capabilities, and its economy is weak, and it has begun to realize the extent of the losses it has incurred.”
